DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant-Remote.Summary:This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, overseeing the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting key financial initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience and a solid understanding of financial reporting.This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in a growing organization within the financial services space. The successful candidate will be a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys supporting a dynamic, growth-oriented business.Key Responsibilities:* Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes* Prepare and analyze financial statements, account reconciliations, and management reports* Maintain general ledger activities, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations* Ensure accuracy of accounts receivable and accounts payable* Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and strategic initiatives* Assist with lender reporting, loan portfolio tracking, and financing-related accounting activitiesRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred* 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting* Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred:* Experience with QuickBooks* Experience within financial services, lending, consumer finance, healthcare finance, or loan servicing environments* Experience with loan accounting, interest income recognition, financing programs, or receivables portfoliosJob TypeContractCompensation42 - $58
